2013 GLK-250 Bluetec

It finally made it in Mercedes-Benz showrooms.

A Fuel sipping SUV from a manufacturer that first put diesel engine in passenger car back in 1936. GLK-250 will get you on average 28mpg (24 city - 33 hwy) and you could go over 500 miles without stopping. Wow. This is something that would should raise everybody's eyebrows if they are aware that this beast gives you 200 hp & 369 lb-ft of torque transferred to all-four-wheels. Yes, it will tow 3.500 lb. Wow. So, this small size SUV will get you off-road, will pull your trailer, give you respectable fuel economy, and now you would ask "is there anything else" and answer is Yes. It will give you best-in-class safety ratings , it will give you state of the art accident avoidance systems, it will deliver as always plenty of luxury amenities, first class craftsmanship, re-worked gasoline motor that gives more power & better fuel economy (if you opt. out for gasoline) and yes once again, it is built on premise "the best or nothing".

For those that are not aware, 2013 GLK went through noticeable changes. Please don't be confused, this is not all-new model, but just refreshments on components where it was most needed. Were those changes good? Yes, at least is what sales numbers tell to us. Comparing to the same month last year (May 2012/May 2013) sales jumped 27.9% (2,133-2,728)

So what are the changes? To the exterior most noticeable change is the front bumper with headlights and rear bumper with tail lights). Vehicle sides stayed very much the same. Interior changes are numerous to go into details, but even blind driver would feel the difference to the center console, dash and steering wheel. Vehicle shifter was moved from center console to the column, and its place is taken by cup-holders. Whole new era of electronics replaced dash space so your "entertainment center" is all up-to-date to Mercedes-Benz standards :-) and a real wood accents are not hand picked, but they came from MB sustainable forests.....they just have seven layers of clear coat.

SHORT VERSION 2013 GLK; New styling in & out, New safety & convenience technology, and re-worked gasoline engine, as well as new diesel engine, all that in top safety SUV. Yes, it did won the beauty contest :-)
