2014 E-63s 4matic Wagon

For some unfamiliar with the Mercedes-Benz brand this might seem a bit weird, but this is not the first time that MB made AMG Wagon. Also, Mercedes-Benz didn't make one this fast....ever....or for that fact, nobody else has a faster wagon.....it is safe to say that nobody has faster sedan. Please note that "s" at AMG logo stands for "a bit extra umph" on top of AMG standard output of 550 hp/531 lb-ft torque, that results 577hp and 590 lb-ft torque. Increased fuel injection pressure and turbo boost are among the enhancements for higher output 5.5L Bi-Turbo engine. This automobile will reach speed of 60mph or 100km/h in 3.5 seconds. WHAT ? wait ! WHAT? Yes, it is true; Car & Driver, MotorTrend...
I hope you accepted this fact, so I can answer another question that you are about to ask me. Why would somebody want E-63s Wagon. My answer; Why not? You have to admit that currently on the market there is plenty of horsepower from many car manufacturers. Certainly there is no shortage. And there is plenty more coming. But, tell me, how many wagons that look this cool have you seen lately....or heard about....yeah...I know. Just to add little bit more spice to it, please take notice of those gigantic ceramic breaks. O' yes, this one is properly equipped. When you have 577hp/590lb-torque at your foot disposal, it is very responsible to equip it with as much as possible breaking power as you can get. So, you make it go fast & stop fast. What else?
2014 E-class is equipped with latest & the greatest in safety technology from Mercedes-Benz; Distronic Plus , Pre-Safe with Pedestrian Recognotion , BAS Plus with Cross Traffic Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist & Active Blind Spot Assist......so besides going and stopping fast, this car is very smart as well.
By looking at these pictures closely you will notice that there is something different about this paint. This is MAGNO Alanite Grey, matte finish from Mercedes-Benz. If you are ordering vehicle in this color, please be aware that "designo" color option may delay the manufacturing process 6-8 weeks, and besides this inconvenience, up-charge is $3,950. So, there are some sacrifices that have to be made in order to have this "super-cool" finish on your vehicle. Additional benefit of magno paint is that is more durable than traditional finish ( No wax, Polishes, Sealers....these can actually damage the magno paint) You wash it only by hand (automatic car wash can cause uneven shiny spots) It is recommended to use MB Car Shampoo or other mild soap, and soft clean sponge and microfiber cloth. Avoid washing in direct sunlight or when paintwork is warm.
In case of a damage to the paint, (big scratches & paint chips that could not be fixed by touch up paint available from MB parts department) it is strongly suggested to use certified shop that has experience with Magno finishes. Since Matte finish is entirely in the clear coat, damage is treated by re-applying the clear coat edge-to-edge to the entire affected panel. Blending and spot repair generally result in unacceptable appearance)
So, you are still asking....why the wagon?
My reason would be simple; It is cool to have all this in a wagon....the power, the brain, cool looking finish in something that is not ordinary. To me, it is cool to have something that is little bit different, that is a little bit unique.... to leave in the dust many fast looking coupes (I don't want to list the models...some of you might get mad.....but it would be many, many, many of them in the dust) There is certain satisfaction in taking names from those guys that are not all that much in to cars and not aware of the fact that Stuttgart released new beast on the asphalt jungle.........Good news for those guys; Very small number of 2014 E-63SP was released for U.S. market....exactly 123 of them for 2013.
